At Flightcat, accessible from https://flightcat.io, protecting user privacy is an important priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information Flightcat receives, how it is used, who may receive it, how long it is retained, and the choices available to users. This policy applies to the Flightcat website and Flightcat's ChatGPT integration.
Information We Collect and Receive
Flightcat Website
When you use the Flightcat website, Flightcat may use approximate location information derived from your IP address by Cloudflare to help create a more relevant flight itinerary. This location information is stored locally in your browser and is not retained by Flightcat as part of your flight-search history.
Flight search queries you submit may be retained for up to 30 days. Flightcat uses these queries to improve the quality of its flight-search experience and to improve how AI-assisted search produces more relevant flight-ticket results. Flightcat does not intentionally attach these stored queries to directly identifying information such as your name, email address, or account identity.
If you contact Flightcat directly, we may receive information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, the contents of your message, attachments, and other information included in your communication.
Flightcat ChatGPT Integration
Flightcat does not require or intentionally collect personally identifiable information through its ChatGPT integration. Flightcat receives the flight-search inputs necessary to process the request and return flight-search results. Flight-search queries submitted through the integration may be retained for up to 30 days for the same service-improvement purposes described above.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in a flight-search query unless it is necessary for the request.
How We Use Information
Flightcat uses information it receives to:
- process flight searches and generate relevant itineraries and results;
- improve the quality and relevance of Flightcat's AI-assisted flight-search experience;
- operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and
- respond to support requests and other communications.
Service Providers and Data Recipients
Flightcat relies on service providers to operate its service. These currently include:
- Cloudflare: Flightcat's backend is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes technical requests necessary to deliver and operate the service. On the website, Cloudflare may also provide approximate IP-derived location information used to create a more relevant itinerary.
- OpenAI: Flightcat uses OpenAI as an AI model provider to process flight-search inputs and support AI-assisted flight-search functionality.
These providers receive information only as needed to provide their respective services to Flightcat and are subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.
Retention
Flight-search queries may be retained for up to 30 days for service and model-improvement purposes, after which they are removed from Flightcat's active query-retention system. Approximate IP-derived location information used on the Flightcat website is stored locally in the user's browser rather than retained by Flightcat as part of the user's flight-search history.
Support messages and other information voluntarily sent to Flightcat may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain records, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies
Flightcat does not currently use cookies or web beacons for advertising, behavioral tracking, or storing user preferences. If this changes, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the technologies used and any available user controls.
User Choices and Data Protection Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to certain processing, and request data portability.
Requests are generally handled free of charge. Flightcat may charge a reasonable fee only where permitted by applicable law.
To make a privacy-related request, including a request for access or deletion, contact Flightcat at service@flightcat.io. Flightcat may need to verify the request before acting on it. Because Flightcat does not intentionally associate retained flight-search queries with directly identifying information, it may not always be possible to identify a particular anonymous query as belonging to a specific individual.

Flightcat may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the service, its data practices, or applicable legal requirements. The current version will be published on Flightcat's website.
